PROJECTS

SPONSORS

The City of Turin and Hydroaid (a nonprofit water education organization based in Turin) have purchased and received 500 Acquagames to be distributed in autumn, 2005.

Together with the Lombardy Environmental Foundation, we are raising funds to donate a set of Acquagames to every elementary school in Lombardy. Riccardo Falco and his colleagues at this foundation have provided invaluable technical assistance, including translation and adaptation of the Watergame Teachers’ Manual and the accompanying didactic materials. We thank their President Giovanni Bottari and Education Director G. Matteo Crovetto for a generous grant to cover half the cost of producing the first 500 Acquagames.

We have an active alliance with Greengames.org, a North American not-for-profit organization with a mission of producing and distributing environmental games. Greengames.org won $13,000 of funding from an anonymous foundation for the production of prototypes and 100 copies each of Watergame and Cleanup!.

Our network of volunteers:

We have volunteers working part-time in many countries, including Austria, Canada, France, India, Italy, Switzerland, and the USA. Barry Weinbrom is our Chief Educator in New York City. We are especially grateful to Shelby Laubhan of The Chesapeake Bay Foundation for her untiring work promoting Watergame to the many schools and public-sector organizations in her network of environmental educators throughout the Bay area. As I write this in summer of 2005, we are shipping her first order of more than 500 Watergames!
